Waves Tune Real-Time corrects pitch as a vocal is being sung, so the singer hears the corrected sound while tracking instead of at mixdown. That removes the disconnect where a performance is judged against something different from what ends up in the mix. Formant correction keeps the voice natural and vibrato is preserved rather than flattened. Pushed hard it quantises far enough for the obvious tuned effect, and it works on stage.
