Accessibility Statement
Our approach to an inclusive Softkrtl website and checkout experience
Last updated 26 July 2026
Current status
Softkrtl aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The website is in active development and has not yet undergone a full independent accessibility audit, so this statement does not claim complete conformance. It should be updated after pre-launch manual and assistive-technology testing.
1. Our commitment
We want people with disabilities to be able to discover, compare and buy audio software independently and with dignity.
Accessibility is considered across navigation, search, product information, licence selection, basket, checkout, account and support.
2. Standard we aim to meet
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, based on the principles that content should be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
3. Design and development practices
Use semantic headings, landmarks and form labels; maintain visible keyboard focus; support keyboard navigation; provide meaningful alternative text; avoid relying on colour alone; maintain readable contrast; allow text resizing and responsive reflow; respect reduced-motion preferences; provide clear errors and instructions; and keep help and navigation consistent.
Product screenshots containing text should be accompanied by accessible product information in HTML rather than relying on the image alone.
4. Third-party content
Stripe-hosted checkout, publisher websites, embedded media and external licence systems are controlled by third parties. We select reputable suppliers and will help customers find an alternative route where reasonably possible, but cannot directly change every third-party interface.
5. Known and potential limitations
Until a full audit is completed, there may be issues in complex product selectors, carousels, filters, animated visuals, third-party widgets and older images.
Where a barrier is identified, we will prioritise issues that prevent purchase, account access or access to essential product and licence information.
6. Requesting an accessible alternative
Email support@softkrtl.com if you need product information, licence details, order support or a policy in another accessible format. Tell us the content needed and preferred format.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within 2 working days and provide a substantive response within 10 working days.
7. Reporting a problem
Include the page URL, what you were trying to do, the issue, device, browser and assistive technology. We will investigate and keep you informed where appropriate.
8. Testing and review
Before launch and after significant changes, Softkrtl should use automated testing plus manual keyboard, zoom, screen-reader and mobile checks. An independent audit is recommended for core purchase journeys.
This statement should be reviewed at least annually and whenever a major platform or checkout change is made.
9. Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 22 July 2026. It is based on the design and development target for softkrtl.com and should be revised after the first full accessibility audit.
