JJP Analog Legends models the Fairchild 660 and 670 compressors and the Pultec EQP-1A and MEQ-5 equalisers, taken from Jack Joseph Puig's own collection of hand-picked, immaculately maintained units. These are the designs valve compression and passive EQ are still measured against, and the sound comes from tubes and transformers as much as from the circuit design. They suit vocals, bus work and mastering, where that weight and smoothness are most useful.
