The Fairchild, his one.
PuigChild models the Fairchild 660 and 670, valve compressors from the 1950s that remain the reference for bus compression. Their combination of an open, warm sound with a fast attack is what makes them useful both for shaping transients and for gluing a mix together. Several compression modes are available, and the behaviour smooths harshness while keeping attack intact and lengthening sustain. Jack Joseph Puig supervised the model, taken from his own units.
