The V-Series is three plugins modelling the 1066, 1073 and 1081 preamp and EQ modules and the 2254 compressor, the processors behind the sound of 1970s consoles. What they share is transformer behaviour, and pushing those transformers hard is what produces the big, warm, still defined sound those desks are known for. Midrange detail is where they are strongest, and the harmonic distortion emulation switches off when it is not wanted.
