Slow, warm, British.
V-Comp models the 2254 bus compressor, including its fixed nominal output gain and the time constants that shaped how it responded. The character comes from the transformers as much as from the compression circuit, since coils wound around a heavy metal core add low-frequency harmonics of their own. Four analog characters are available and stay audible with compression switched off entirely. The controls are few, which suits a bus processor.
