Maserati DRM shapes drums with three controls, Thump, Snap and Treble, across seven modes tuned for kick, snare top, snare bottom, hi-hats, toms, overheads and room mics. Snap increases compression, which is what makes it particularly effective on room and overhead tracks. A sensitivity control pushes any source harder when the standard amount is not enough. It suits multi-output drum modules where each element needs its own treatment, and 59 presets are included.
