JJP Bass processes bass through several parallel paths rather than one chain, on the principle that the right bass colour depends on the track and not on the instrument. A single click optimises everything for DI, synth or amplified bass. Presence pushes the part through a cluttered mix, and a width control spreads it into stereo or animates a mono track. It suits hip hop as readily as rock, which is what the parallel design is for.
