Abbey Road Saturator is a saturation chain rather than a single distortion stage. You pick the colour first, the REDD console's valve tone or the TG12345's rounder solid-state one, shape it with EQ before and after, then drive the result through a model of the ultra-rare TG12321 compander Abbey Road used to excite signals. A phase control alters the character of the distortion substantially, and a mix control blends the processed signal back against the dry.
