Character v4.
Saturation modelled on real preamps, DIs and EQs.
£135
Overview
The colour of borrowed hardware.
Character adds the distortion of classic analogue circuits to your tracks. Metric Halo had tracking, mixing and mastering engineers send in their favourite preamps, DIs and EQs, measured how that gear distorts with SpectraFoo and modelled the results. Choose a model and set how hard to hit it, or let Autodrive keep the distortion consistent at any level. Pushed hard, it moves past colour into deliberate sound mangling. It runs as VST2, VST3 and AAX Native, plus AU on macOS, and one iLok licence covers macOS and Windows.
