Z-Noise is the noiseprint reducer built for music rather than dialogue, where preserving transients matters more than removing every last trace of noise. Pre-emphasis and de-emphasis prevent the smearing noise reduction usually inflicts on attacks, and it profiles noise in real time with higher resolution at low frequencies. A five-band EQ shapes the noise profile precisely. It handles preamp hiss, hum and computer noise on instruments and masters.
