The SSL E-Channel models the channel strip from the SL 4000 E series, the console that first put dynamics as well as EQ on every channel. It carries a four-band EQ with two shelf and two parametric stages, dual filters, a soft-knee compressor and limiter, and an expander and gate. The black knob EQ is the version modelled here, bright and clear, which is a large part of why the E series has been rediscovered in hip hop and pop.
