S1 is a set of three stereo imaging plugins for widening, narrowing and repositioning material. The Imager handles width and asymmetric tilt on stereo mixes, while the Shuffler widens the bass specifically and stays mono-compatible, which is where cruder wideners fall down. Between them they spread background vocals and layered guitars, push reverbs away from the centre, correct an unbalanced loop, or collapse a track to mono deliberately.
