MaxxVolume combines four dynamics processors that normally sit apart. A low-level compressor lifts quiet detail such as room tone and the human quality in a voice, a high-level compressor controls excessive dynamics above it, a leveler holds a consistent level across voice, instruments or soundtrack, and a gate keeps low-level noise out. Together they cover problems at both ends of the dynamic range, and the leveling amp doubles as bus glue.
