Magma Springs models seven spring reverb units, an effect whose metallic twang and resonant boing are unmistakable rather than subtle. A spring both melts into a mix and colours it, which is an unusual combination and explains the cult following it has held since the 1950s. The workflow is deliberately tactile and analog in feel.
