Kaleidoscopes puts phaser, flanger, chorus and tremolo into two independent modulation engines that run in series or parallel. Running two at once is where the unusual results come from, since a phaser combined with a tremolo does something neither pedal manages alone. Smart triggering lets the effects respond to playing in real time, so a guitar strum can shift the modulation rate or a drum hit can start a sweep. Modulation can be driven by the input, a sidechain or an internal source.
