IR-L is the streamlined convolution reverb, running the IR1 engine with far fewer controls in front of it. Convolution produces the most realistic spaces available, but the full versions carry enough parameters to slow the choice down, and this exists to shorten that. Over 2,000 impulses in a 4.8 GB library cover everything from stairwells to cathedrals, the start and end of an impulse can be trimmed, WAV and third-party impulses import, and two CPU settings are offered.
