Eddie Kramer Drum Channel is built for multitracked kits, with separate optimised settings for kick, snare, toms, hi-hat, overheads and room mics. Its compression carries the character of 60s and 70s drum recording rather than aiming at transparency, which is what the Zeppelin, Hendrix and Stones records are remembered for. A gate cleans up spill, trims decay and settles ringing toms, and finely tuned bass and treble controls handle tone track by track.
