Four bands, one decision.
The C4 is a four-band processor combining compression, expansion, limiting and dynamic EQ with static equalisation, so each band can be treated differently from its neighbours. One band might be compressed while another is expanded and a third only equalised. Master controls move all four together when a broad change is wanted. Bypassing the dynamics altogether leaves a four-band focusing EQ, which is useful once a problem turns out to be tonal rather than dynamic.
