Overview
Four plates, one room.
Reverb Plates models the four EMT plates installed at Abbey Road in 1957 and still in use there today. A plate does not behave like a room, being brighter and more diffuse than any real space, which is why it has remained a default for vocals long after convolution made real rooms available. Decay runs from short and snappy to long and lush, and the plugin includes the parts of the original signal path that shaped the sound, pre-delay, EQ, crosstalk and drive.
