Overview
Reed below, kalimba above.
Klavee recreates the Klaviphon, an almost extinct Czech electric piano from the 1960s in which wooden hammers pluck the reeds. The bass keeps a classic reed tone, while the hammers' upward strike on the reed edge turns the top octaves kalimba-like. Sampleson spectrally modelled it from real samples of the instrument: it plays with no velocity switching, needs no Kontakt or other player and takes only 35 MB. It requires online activation and has no AAX version, so it does not run in Pro Tools.
