Overview
Acoustic DNA that survives the edit.
Akoustic is an additive synthesiser whose raw material is spectral models of violas, electric pianos, woodwinds, basses and other acoustic instruments. Every partial has its own envelope, tuning, offset and gain, so a patch can be reshaped or microtuned in fine detail and still keep a woody, organic character. It is not a subtractive synth: Sampleson says anyone after cut-off filters and resonance knobs should look elsewhere. It suits sound designers who would rather shape a sound one partial at a time.
