Overview

Steep cuts that leave the neighbours alone.

MH Sonic EQ v4 is Metric Halo's plug-in version of the equaliser James A. Moorer developed for Lucasfilm's SoundDroid and later expanded for Sonic Solutions mastering systems. High-order slopes and control over ripple both in and out of band let it target a narrow problem area with little effect on the surrounding programme, while built-in SpectraFoo analysis shows what each move does. Dedicated filters cover RIAA encoding and decoding, DC removal and de-emphasis for vinyl and early digital transfers. In Pro Tools it runs as AAX Native.
