Overview
From the tango hall to the Silk Road.
The EastWest World Instruments Bundle brings together Gypsy, RA and Silk, three libraries by Doug Rogers and Nick Phoenix, each of which runs in EastWest's Opus software. Gypsy samples a travelling band: solo violin, trombone, guitars, accordions, cimbalom and flamenco dancers. RA ranges wider, from kora and djembe to uilleann pipes, sitar, koto and didgeridoo, with microtuning presets. Silk centres on China, India and Persia, with recorded legato intervals and scales tuned to each instrument. Together they give screen composers regional colour from tango to the Far East.
