This upgrade lifts Melodyne essential to Melodyne 5 editor. The big gain is DNA Direct Note Access: piano, guitar and other polyphonic parts split into single notes you can retune, retime, add or delete inside a chord, so library loops can follow your song's chords. You also get the complete toolkit with inspectors and extended tempo and scale functions, and unlike essential the licence can sit on an iLok dongle (2nd or 3rd generation); first activation needs internet access. Multitrack note editing and the Sound Editor stay with Melodyne 5 studio.
