The Melodyne 5 editor update is for owners of any earlier Melodyne editor. Its Melodic algorithm now separates sibilants and breaths from the pitched part of each note, so retuning and stretching leave sibilants untouched and a dedicated tool can rebalance them. A Chord Track with automatic chord recognition lets you snap vocals, samples and polyphonic parts to the harmony of the song, and the Fade Tool and Leveling Macro work per note, even inside chords. Projects saved in Melodyne 4 open sounding exactly as they did.
