Verve sets a felt piano against a second layer of cinematic textures. The piano was sampled at the Yamaha Studios in Los Angeles, where a bespoke one-finger robot played each key so that every velocity was captured with repeatable accuracy. Balance moves from pure piano to pure texture, and the textures come from metal, glass, dry ice, electronic devices heard through electromagnetic pickups, orchestral strings and more. It runs in the free HALion Sonic 7 player or HALion 7; activation needs an internet connection.
