Overview
Start with chords, finish with a mix.
Cubase Elements 15 is the starter edition of Steinberg's DAW, below Artist and Pro, for newcomers to music production. It matches their 64-bit engine and 192 kHz resolution but caps a project at 48 audio, 64 MIDI and 24 instrument tracks. Chord Pads and the Scale Assistant help shape harmony. Groove Agent SE, HALion Sonic and Iconica Sketch lead seven instruments and libraries, plus over 20 GB of sounds and loops. VariAudio pitch editing and comping stay with Artist and Pro. Activation and download need a Steinberg account and an internet connection.
