Overview
The overlooked seventies e-piano returns.
Amped Elektra captures a restored Hohner Electra, a 1970s electric piano related in sound to the Rhodes and the Wurlitzer. Its DI signal was recorded, then reamped through three tube amps: a 1970s Ampeg V4 and Fender Twin Reverb, and The Tower, a rare 1950s amp. Blend the DI with any or all three for a warm, funky tone, add chamber, spring or plate reverb, and start from 43 presets for funk, soul and jazz. It plays in HALion 7 or the free HALion Sonic 7; activation needs an internet connection.
