Pianos Platinum Bechstein D-280.
A sampled concert grand that keeps every note distinct.
£99

Overview
Precision over grandeur.
Pianos Platinum Bechstein D-280 samples the most precise of the four concert grands in EastWest's Pianos collection. Its notes are a little leaner than its siblings', so wide chord stacks and intricate runs stay separate instead of blooming into one wash. Its roughly 60 GB of samples cover three microphone positions, and only the positions you choose are loaded into memory. It plays in EastWest's Opus software, standalone or in a DAW, for players and composers whose parts depend on hearing every note.
Highlights
Three microphone positions, mixable and loaded only as needed

Close-mic recordings engineered by Ken Scott
Recorded through vintage Neumann microphones and a Neve 8078 console
Plays in EastWest Opus, standalone or as a plugin
