Gatey Watey 2 splits its gain reduction at a crossover, giving the bands above and below your chosen frequency their own range controls. Pull the highs down hard and leave the lows lightly touched, and a sustained note keeps ringing as it decays while hiss and bleed drop away, with less of the pumping a broadband gate leaves in the gaps. Reach for it wherever noise sits under a part that needs to sustain; it stays as simple to set as an ordinary gate.
