Equalize 2 treats filter slope as a band setting in its own right: each of up to twelve bands takes a slope anywhere from a gentle 3 to a steep 120 dB per octave, with slope and bandwidth handles you drag directly on the curve. Linear phase keeps phase relationships but adds pre-ringing that can smear transients, so a mixed phase mode lets you set the latency between 5 and 120 ms; below 20 ms, hearing masks the pre-ringing. It suits mixing and mastering engineers who need steep, precise curves.
