Instant Flanger Mk II.
An emulation of the 1975 studio flanger with tape Bounce.
£75

Overview
Tape flanging without the tape.
Instant Flanger Mk II emulates Eventide’s 1975 studio rackmount, the flanger heard on David Bowie’s ‘Ashes to Ashes’. Like that unit, it sweeps a true time delay rather than the analogue filters of earlier phasers, for more notches and a deeper effect. Move the sweep by hand, from the oscillator, from an envelope follower or from a mod wheel, while dual outputs spread a mono guitar or synth into pseudo stereo. Use it for stereo sweetening and double tracking, or for extreme, resonant flanging.
Highlights
Big Knob for sweeping the flange by hand
Oscillator sweep with Sync and Retrig
Envelope follower that a side-chain source can trigger
Bounce imitates a tape capstan recovering its speed
Shallow, Deep and Wide modes for pseudo stereo from mono
Feedback and bipolar Depth to fine-tune resonance
Low Cut keeps bass out of the flanged signal
Activation with an iLok account; no dongle required
