Overview
Intimate tone that sits in the mix.
Modern Upright is a Yamaha U3 upright piano that plays inside XLN Audio's Addictive Keys engine. It was sampled in a large auditorium used mainly for broadcasting live performances, where the room adds detailed ambience and a medium-long decay. Seven microphone perspectives, near and distant, floor and soundboard, mono and stereo, can be mixed and matched to balance close detail against room sound. The U3's tight, defined tone makes it a smaller, more intimate choice for songs where a grand would be too much.
