The IRON 2 Upgrade moves owners of the original Virtual Guitarist IRON onto version 2, rebuilt on a new engine around a fresh sample set from a different session player. Player mode still plays whole rock and metal phrases from the chords you hold; the new Instrument mode hands you each downstroke, upstroke and muted pluck so you can write your own riffs. IRON 2 is a separate instrument from its predecessor, so the two can share a song.
