One installer per plugin

Sonic Nomad installation.

Sonic Nomad releases a separate installer for each plugin, so you only download the ones you bought. Set aside about ten minutes. You will need the activation code from your licence email.

How to install and activate

Register your licence

    Create a free Sonic Nomad account, or log in

    Click Login / Register at the top of sonic-nomad.com. Under Register, type your email address, tick the anti-spam box and press Register. Already bought from Sonic Nomad before? Just log in with that account instead.

    Register your licence key on the Register page

    While logged in, open the Register page. It says 'Once logged in enter your license key below to register your purchase' — paste the licence key from your licence email into the box and submit it. This ties the product to your account so you can download it.

    TIPIf the page says 'Whoops! It looks like you aren't logged in', log in first and then come back — the key box only appears once you are signed in.

    Your activation code

    It is in your licence email, in the purple panel. Signed in? It is in your account too.

Install your instrument

    Download the installer

    In your account area, find your instrument — FUEGO or Cheap Keys — and download the installer for your computer, Mac or Windows.

    TIPFUEGO and Cheap Keys are complete instruments. You do not need Kontakt or any other sampler.

    Run the installer

    Open the file you downloaded and follow the prompts. It installs the standalone app plus the plug-in versions: AU and VST3 on Mac, VST3 on Windows, and AAX for Pro Tools on both.

    TIPSay yes to the formats it suggests — the standard choices are right for almost everyone.

    Open it and activate

    Open the standalone app, or load the instrument in the music program you use — Logic Pro, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Pro Tools, any of them. The first time it opens it asks you to activate: use the same licence key you registered, with your Sonic Nomad account details if it asks for them. You need an internet connection for this.

    TIPYour licence can be activated on up to five devices, so repeat this step on each computer you use.

    CHECKPOINT

    The instrument opens and plays without asking you to activate. You are done.

Each instrument has its own licence key — register and activate FUEGO and Cheap Keys separately. A key for an Atlas Sounds product (Oriental Drummer) is registered on atlas-sounds.com, not here, even though the two shops look alike. Our catalogue carries the desktop versions only.

If something goes wrong

My code is not accepted

Codes are entered exactly as sent — paste rather than retype, and keep or drop dashes exactly as the steps say. Still stuck? Contact us with your order number and we will sort it, usually the same day.

The plug-in does not show up in my music program

Check you installed the format your program uses and rescan its plug-in folders. The Sonic Nomad help pages cover each program's scan settings.

I bought this but have no email

Check spam first — licence emails arrive within minutes of payment. Nothing there? Contact us and we will resend it.
