Freqport installation.

Freqport is a single download that you activate the first time you open it. Set aside about ten minutes. You will need the activation code from your licence email.

How to install and activate

Get ready

    Find your licence key

    It is near the top of your licence email. Freqport calls this the Licence Key, and it is the only code you need: it goes into the iLok app in Part 4. Nothing gets emailed back to you.

    Create a free iLok account and install the iLok License Manager

    FreqTube FT1-EMU is protected by iLok, so your licence lives in an iLok account rather than on Freqport's site. Go to ilok.com, create a free account (or sign in if you already have one), then download and install the free iLok License Manager app for your computer — Mac or Windows.

Install and unlock

    Download and install the FreqTube plug-in

    On Freqport's downloads page, download the latest FreqTube FT1-EMU version for your computer — Mac or Windows — then open it and follow the prompts. It is one installer for everything: the FreqTube plug-in is included in Freqport's “Freqsoft” package along with Freqport's hub and drivers.

    TIPThe installer is the same one trial users download. Your licence key is what makes it the full version — that happens in the next step.

    Paste your licence key into iLok License Manager

    Open iLok License Manager and sign in. Click the little dots menu in the upper right corner, paste the licence key from Part 1 where it asks for a code, and click Next. Freqport's own guide walks through this step with pictures if you want to follow along.

    Open the plug-in in your music program

    Open the music program you use — Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Cubase, any of them — and add FreqTube FT1-EMU to a track. If an iLok window appears, follow it all the way through: do not close it part-way, and do not choose TRY — that starts the trial instead of using your licence.

    TIPClosed the iLok window too early and now the plug-in will not load? iLok can “blacklist” it. Look up “Force Plugin Rescan” for your music program and run that, then open the plug-in again.

    CHECKPOINT

    FreqTube FT1-EMU opens with no trial notice — that is it. Enjoy.

This is the software-only emulation; it does not need Freqport's FreqTube FT1 hardware, and the FreqPortal product-registration pages on freqport.com are for hardware owners and direct web-shop buyers — you do not need to register anything there. If you want to try before you unlock, Freqport's trial licence is requested separately on their site and is also activated through iLok.

If something goes wrong

My code is not accepted

Codes are entered exactly as sent — paste rather than retype, and keep or drop dashes exactly as the steps say. Still stuck? Contact us with your order number and we will sort it, usually the same day.

The plug-in does not show up in my music program

Check you installed the format your program uses and rescan its plug-in folders. The Freqport help pages cover each program's scan settings.

I bought this but have no email

Check spam first — licence emails arrive within minutes of payment. Nothing there? Contact us and we will resend it.

Do I need an account?

Only if the steps above say so — some brands licence entirely inside the software.
