Atlas Sounds installation.

Atlas Sounds is a single download that you activate the first time you open it. Set aside about ten minutes. You will need the activation code from your licence email.

How to install and activate

Register your licence

    Create a free Atlas Sounds account, or log in

    Click the My Account icon at the top of atlas-sounds.com. Under Register, type your email address, tick the anti-spam box and press Register — Atlas Sounds emails you a link to set your password. Already have an Atlas Sounds account? Just log in.

    Register your licence key on the Register page

    While logged in, open the Register page. It says 'Once logged in, enter your license key below to register your purchase' — paste the licence key from your licence email into the box and submit it. This ties Oriental Drummer to your account so you can download it.

    TIPIf the page says 'Whoops! It looks like you aren't logged in', log in first and then come back — the key box only appears once you are signed in.

    Your activation code

    It is in your licence email, in the purple panel. Signed in? It is in your account too.

Install and activate

    Download and run the installer

    In your account area, download the Oriental Drummer installer for your computer — Mac or Windows — then open it and follow the prompts. It installs the plug-in in VST3, AU (Mac) and AAX formats, along with its sounds and MIDI grooves (about 200 MB). You need an internet connection for the download.

    TIPOriental Drummer is a complete plug-in instrument. You do not need Kontakt or any other sampler.

    Open Oriental Drummer and activate it

    Load Oriental Drummer in the music program you use — Logic Pro, Ableton Live, FL Studio, Cubase, Studio One, Pro Tools or Reaper. The first time it opens it asks you to activate: enter the same licence key you registered. You need an internet connection for this. The plug-in's License section then shows the licence it is using.

    TIPYour licence works on up to 3 computers at once. Moving to a new computer? Deactivate on the old one (or reset your activations from the plug-in's License section) and activate on the new one.

    CHECKPOINT

    Oriental Drummer plays without asking you to activate. You are done.

A key for a Sonic Nomad product (FUEGO, Cheap Keys) is registered on sonic-nomad.com, not here, even though the two shops look alike. Oriental Drummer is the only Atlas Sounds product we carry.

If something goes wrong

My code is not accepted

Codes are entered exactly as sent — paste rather than retype, and keep or drop dashes exactly as the steps say. Still stuck? Contact us with your order number and we will sort it, usually the same day.

The plug-in does not show up in my music program

Check you installed the format your program uses and rescan its plug-in folders. The Atlas Sounds help pages cover each program's scan settings.

I bought this but have no email

Check spam first — licence emails arrive within minutes of payment. Nothing there? Contact us and we will resend it.

Do I need an account?

Only if the steps above say so — some brands licence entirely inside the software.
